This park is a hidden gem in North Madison. It has a short and well maintained trail to a small unguarded beach. A few picnic tables and a wide open field to set your children loose on overlook Lake Erie. To the right of that is a short walk to the beach. I haven’t seen anyone swim here, but I’ve heard people do.
The beach is mostly made up of a colorful and eye catching assortment of rocks.
My son spends hours throwing them into the lake, but sometimes pauses to join my hunt for beach glass. I love this park and I’m so grateful it’s in Madison!
Absolutely beautiful and a hidden gem in North Madison, Ohio. Just take RT 20 to Dock Rd and it's all the way at the end on the right. They've redone the path that takes you to the lake and they also added a family friendly picnic area. Dogs are welcome too. They have a box set up for pet waste bags at the beginning of the path.
Nice little Park three picnic tables in a lstge grassy area,, a bench to sit at. It looks like you could walk on the beach and maybe on a trail from here. Not a lot of parking it's just the end of a road. Nice little quiet place to have a quick lunch, sit and read a book, walk down the beach. No restrooms or other amenities. No Signs regarding pets. No Signs regarding when it closes.
Really awesome park. It's beautiful. A true hidden gem in the lake county park system.
Quiet and peaceful beachfront with a lily pad filled tributary.
A large area to play with picnic tables. No playground equipment.
Got to watch two Horned Grebes feasting where the estuary was draining into Lake Erie. Pretty unique spot along the North Coast.
I ❤️ Arcola Creek Park. It might not be everyone's choice spot, but I like it because it's small, usually not crowded, relatively private, and in addition to enjoying Lake Erie, you can also fish the creek side.
Went in November on a sunny, cold day. It's a quick walk down the path along the estuary and a beautiful section of beach.
